International Tennis Experience
Whilst working and studying in the United States, Dr. Maddern played professional tennis, gaining All-American consideration. He also played Linton Cup for Victoria, and was a member of the Australian Junior Davis Cup Team. He is a three times winner of the Kooyong Club Championships (1984, 1994 and 1995).

Dennis is founder and President of two of Australia's most successful new companies in the financial sector - Maddern Financial Advisers and Maddern Financial Accounting. Based in Malvern, Victoria, Maddern Financial Planning has the distinction of being Victoria's fastest-growing financial advisory business, since its inception in 2003.
Business Experience
Dr. Maddern’s career has seen many great successes – speaking and consulting to companies in North and South America, Europe and Australia. He was responsible for the implementation of continuous improvement and change management, worldwide, for the Eastman Kodak Company. One of the highlights of his extensive career was the turnaround, as a General Manager, of a $600 million Australian company, with 8 thousand employees. Sales were increased by 50% and profit by 30% in just 12 months.
Academic Qualifications
Dr. Maddern's specific financial planning qualifications include an Advanced Diploma Financial Services (Financial Planning). He also has a Bachelor of Science in Administration from Oklahoma City University, a Masters in Organisational Development/Learning and a Ph.D in Organisational Behaviour and Administration.
His doctoral dissertation, 'Leader Behaviour and Organisational Climate in 47 Organisations,' was followed by numerous university teaching posts and a period of Post Doctoral work at Stanford University.
Dr. Maddern has five children, and his interests include opera and tennis.
